We asume this is about a behind the scenes view of broadcasting,we paid our £10 each up front to do the tour, the two young ladies were really informative and chirpy showing the group of 21 of us around, granted not all areas are available, but we thought one tour to interest the younger and one to interest the older persons interests,we went... 更多
Perhaps our expectations of this tour were too high - we expected to see a working studio, feel the buzz, glimpse a celeb, at the very least see the studios that the children would recognise from CBBC. Nope. The place was deserted at the weekend. First we saw a studio which they said was the CBBC presenter desk but our... 更多
We pre-booked a tour online which may be the only way of doing it. The door was guided by two wonderful ladies who entertained us all the way round. We went into a radio studio, the special effects studio, Blue Peter studio and what was once the Breakfast Programme studio but has been left in Place so that we could... 更多
Whatever you think of the BBC, the tour makes you think and realise just what goes on at Salford Quays.. The different types of prgrammes that are produced here and the work involved, would leave you breathless and could possibly make your hair stand on end - me I haven't got much left at the moment. If you want to... 更多
Our 3rd time visiting Media City BBC to be part of the audience. I am writing this review on the basis of our experience on the last visit. Being in the audience means a first come, first served basis so we had to be there early to stand chance of getting a wristband to get into HD2 studio. My wife... 更多
The tour guides, Julia and colleague were excellent, They really appeared to enjoy their work. The tour was both interesting and informative. We saw a radio studio, the Match of the Day set, the sound effects department (the chance to sit down for a while was very welcome) and we also got the chance to read the news and weather.... 更多
You can walk around outside the BBC buildings for free - see the Blue Peter garden, etc. There are some nice looking restaurants there as well. Fun modern buildings and square. Tours are paid and must be booked far in advance.
Tour had two guides who were very knowledgeable about TV and radio production. We saw a radio studio and spent a while in the radio drama room where we were told lots of tricks used in radiio plays. There was a wide spread of ages but all were catered for. Time was spent in the Blue Peter studio which was... 更多
The two young guides were excellent. They were knowledgeable and good and involving their audience. Interesting facts and anecdotes.
We booked for a BBC tour and were pleased we did. Excellent guides and a real insight into how programmes are made. Would have been nice to bump into some celebrities, but clearly if they were in the building they would be busy making programmes.Well worth attending and can recommend.
