Adults and children alike will enjoy this venue. It is managed by volunteers. There are museums and activities inside. They hold regular events which makes visit varied. the train goes through the overgrown area and you can often catch sight of the many deer that live there
As a family we love visiting the mills. Enthusiastic staff and some great activities for all! We particularly enjoyed the recent VE Day celebrations, flyover and reenactment
A group of 23 visited on VE Weekend. There were lots of re-enactment groups there and a very large number of visitors. Their activities added to the interest of the site and had we had time we would have stayed longer than the three hours we did stay. It is a very large site with lots to see and do... 更多
Had a surprisingly good time here, thought we would be bored, but how wrong I was! A great day, the science show was excellent, as were the rockets that the children made and fired!! Lunch was very good and enjoyed by all. Staff friendly and fun!
The entry price is really good. We brang our own picnic. Because we weren't sure if they sell food. Which we come to revise they do. We had young kids who loved it as they had Section for play. It's is educational and historic
We had planned to come here for a long time and today visited with 3 generations. There was the additional interest of the VE Day celebration that had brought together a large number of reenactment groups. The Mills themselves cover an interesting (for adults mostly) part of our military history. A much smaller affair than the website, leaflets and media... 更多
Great for families and children. Make the most of this fun, educational and historical venue, as the management want to lease off most of the site and rent it out to a holiday company. This is a jewel in the historical town of Waltham Abbey.
We took our children aged 13, 10 and 8 along with the grandparents having picked up a leaflet in Tesco. We spent the day here and not once did we hear I am bored. We could easily have spent longer here there was so much for the kids to do. Loved the science show and the land train. Great time... 更多

We had, had lunch done our shopping had an hour or two to spare was driving past decided to pop in an see what it was like. They had mobility scooters for people like me which was good as we were told there was quite a lot of walking. We set of there were various places to go inside and... 更多
Surprisingly lots to do - nice little playground, good cafe, lovely woodland. Kids were well entertained with helpful staff and great science projects to do (building and lanching a rocket, making slime, firing nerf guns and watching a mad scientist create explosions! What we thought would be couple of hours visit turned into the whole day.
We went during the Easter Holiday and it was very much aimed at children, they learned about explosions and armoury. Nice cafe on site selling hot and cold food, there is also a gift shop. Would love to see some of the unused buildings come to life.
