You are in to get confused of you are not here with an agenda. There are so many places to go that you don't know which side to go to. Many many roads I could see.. Atleast five originating from the main chowk. Fruits were available in plenty. Lots of market space and places to eat etc

Police Bazaar is the best place to hangout with friends in Shillong. From shopping complexes to restaurants this place has all. The hotels are also nearby and the best part of this place is the crowd especially during evenings. A great place to book a hotel for stay.
There are 7 different lanes that surround the Police Baazar area and though most of them have similar stuff, some things vary. The look and feel of each lane is little bit different and there is a whole lot of window shopping that one can indulge in. It will take about a couple of hrs to see the whole place.
Nothing special about this market just a normal market with couple of shops selling hand made woolen clothes and some handicrafts. And this one can buy in Guwahati at a lesser price. All the other shops are found everywhere.
To be very frank, I took multiple rounds of this place while my visit to Shillong but couldn't really understand the hype around it. It has a huge market in every possible lane you go with a mix of street shopping, local stores, malls & few arts store. There are a few good eateries & clubs around there.
Every thing is available in the market, but I feel the same is available everywhere. So why not to save time and spent the same for visiting attraction. But in case decided to shop in Shillong then its the best market to visit.
