I read, but my wife and son devour books. This place was their heaven. It has four levels which is 32 rooms of reading materials packed into this old neighborhood brick store. Get a map when you walk in. I loved the multiple soundtracks playing in each area to set the mood and the benches in the garden for those... 更多
Maybe you have to have a love affair with the printed word. Maybe not. I always thought so, until I visited the Book Loft. It's set up as an adventure, with something like 32 rooms sprawling over nooks and crannies and different stories (pun intended!) In this old home, or series of connected homes. You can get a map at... 更多
I'm an avid reader and I was excited to visit this shop. It was like a never ending maze of books and I loved it. It is neatly organized with a huge variety. It can be a little cramped and crowded at times. My only complaint is that it is advertised as bargain books, but they didn't have a large... 更多
Upon visiting my brother in Columbus for his birthday, we went to the Book Loft. Thirty-two rooms later, I felt like I had been put to shame in my hometown bookstore. Various rooms featured various genres - sports, travel, language learning (didn't end up buying, but I perused some books about learning Romanian). Bigger than I thought, but once I... 更多
This is a great place to visit if your looking for any book you ever wanted. Room after room is filled with very genre of book you could be looking for. Don't forgot to grab a map, cause you will need it. Best part is you can sit outside after finding your book and read. Or walk down to pistica... 更多
The kids had so much fun going from room to room to see what was next. It was like a maze. Loved that they had some chairs in the kids section so they could sit to look through the books and loved the patio area full of flowers and benches
As many times as I have visited this place I can't believe I haven't reviewed it. I always make a point to come here and peruse the 32 rooms ( yes-32 rooms)of books, etc. and rarely come out empty-handed. This is an institution in The German Village an extremely charming neighborhood south of downtown Columbus, Ohio. I can literally spend... 更多
If you've ever been to Powell's bookstore in Portland, OR, this is its miniature cousin. 32 tiny rooms, all crammed with books and connected by stairs and narrow passageways. Loads of fun to wander through.
Lots of rooms, lots of books. Most are full price but there are some unique finds. Definitely more than you will find at the big book stores. A don't forget to look up! If you are or know someone who is a puzzle lover you will find one. And those prices are excellent.
