If you get the chance go and see this place. The history and the natural attractions combine to fill at least a day. We did the 3 caves tours and enjoyed all as they were all different. Lovely guide who had a natural manner of sharing information. All other areas can be accessed on your own but you do need... 更多
We were told of this place and were very glad we detoured slightly to visit the area. We did the three guided cave tours which were excellent. The first two caves were lit and the third we were given torches which worked a treat. Our guide was very informative and pleasant. An altogether great day.
The National Parks Information Centre, commonly called The Hub, in Chillagoe is not only the place to book tours of the caves but has an excellent display, in laymans language, of how the caves were formed, putting the time frame over millions of years, in perspective. The staff at the centre were most helpfull. Chillagoe is a remote town but well... 更多
Great tour to take, the limestone caves are awesome, the guide was great & explained so much about them. Advise anyone to visit here !
Had a brilliant tour here ! Ranger was outstanding, such a pity our stay was cut short by the rude owner at the Eco lodge. Which actually cost the caves another 3 tours for 10 people as the Eco lodge made us pull down when we had planned and originally to stay in stating that that our site had been... 更多
Really enjoyed the caves, guide was very informative with a sense of humour. The stories of his youth when he would play in and around these caves was very interesting. We only visited one cave due to a lack of time but there is much more to see, would come back.
Absolutely worth the visit - we were blown away by the enormity and sheer beauty of the Donna Cave - a very short drive from Chillagoe. We attempted to stumble our way through a few unguided tours at different caves but it really is worth paying the money to tour with a ranger from National Parks. The way the caves... 更多
If you enjoy caves you will not be disappointed with three separate caves to tour. All are different, some fully lite and others you have a torch which the kids love. A lot of work by the park rangers has been done to give good access to all.
