we had a great visit, enjoyed the boat trip up the canal (but wished the person doing the talking remembered some people facing the other way (one persons right is another persons left!)), excellent mooch around the boats and the other buildings. pity that a few things were not working or plugged in. Could do with updating.
Most boats go to Chester and turn round there. We went on to the museum and were amazed how quiet and peaceful the canal is once through Chester. We moored for the night in the lower basin for the price of our admission tickets. The museum is extremely interesting and well explained. The rotting wooden boats are a bit sad... 更多
The next time i come, my wife will be with me, as this day was a Gentlemans day & what a lovely place this is. A little hidden gem in a town with so much history. Thank you for a lovely day. So much to do & take part in.
We decided to visit the museum site on Bank Holiday Monday expecting it to be pretty busy given the beautiful sunny weather. We arrived at 10am and thought a couple of hours and we would be done not so we left at 3pm . Well worth a visit set on the side of canel. Visit the terraced house by the water set in different times. Do I remember the old tv, dolly tub so much memrobela. The upstairs warehouse is very interesting too. Lovely on a sunny day.
