we visited this light while we were in Charlottetown. It is just a few hour drive. The light and grounds were nice and well maintained. We were surprised to see a sewage treatment facility right next door to the light, it was also well maintained and not offensive at all.
The lighthouse was included in a Photo Tour I took out of Souris. It was lovely and the staff were very informative. The view was stellar from the top, and the café and gift shop are worth visiting.
This four-story gem is a delight. Friendly guides teach about the wonders of sea glass and its relation to the history of the region. There's a fine exhibit of the various types of sea glass, and there are also many dozens of vials of sand from around the world contributed by visitors. Climb up to the top and enjoy a... 更多
Perched on the coast this stunning lighthouse welcomes visitors from all over. You may walk up for a small fee and view the breathtaking coastline of Souris.
We decided to visit the lighthouse on the way back from the Singing Sands beach at the Basin Head Provincian Park in Souris, back to Charlottetown. It is on the way, with a detour of couple of minutes. It is one of those rare lighthouses where you are allowed to go in to the lighthouse and get a fabulous view... 更多
A nice little lighthouse with a nice view of the harbour. The gift shop below had a wide variety of items, and was reasonably priced.
The Souris Lighthouse is a beautiful spot to visit to see the history of the lighthouse and to see what it is like to climb the narrow stairs and look out the lighthouse. The lighthouse over looks the Souris Ferry wharf and in July you can experience the Mermaid Sea Glass Festival at the Souris Lighthouse. There is a gift... 更多
The view was amazing. However very little direction from staff. When we arrived a tour had just begun so a small signed was place with pricing. We walked around while we waited. Truly a beautiful site.
This is one of the only lighthouses you can still access the observation deck at the top. Inside you will be able to view sea glass and sand around the world. It was $15 for a family to enter. Very informative, great view.
