I've been here many times - it's an absolutely beautiful park full of rocky cliffs, windy rivers and gorgeous hiking trails. I love it so much that I got married here, and although the marriage didn't last, my adoration with Rockwood park did. I go back all the time. It's the perfect place for nature lovers, not a party campground.
Our first impressions were not good. The RV/Trailer section (Maple?) was bleak - no trees, nothing interesting. The exact site -- 174 of Cedar -- was better, but still, very much "here is your slot". That northernmost strip is beside two highways, and the noise was constant -- before adding the occasional train. I would not recommend our site or... 更多
This was our 8th camping trip here. The kids love the mini golf, playground and beach. Very quiet and lots to do. The ruins are cool to visit and the trails are a nice hike for the family and dog. The landscape by the water looks amazing. We'll be back again in the fall!
I've been here about 3 times. It is not a difficult walk and the scenery is beautiful. I didn't canoe but it looks like a nice place for that, very calm waters. The beach is ok for kids although I don't think I would swim there. There is a nice snack bar where you can have a nice view of... 更多
Such a nice area to hike through. You feel like you are much further north than you are. There are some wonderful views. A nice place if you want a short hike.
Come here to enjoy beautiful landscapes. A wonderful place to hike. Explore the caves!!!!! There is a beach area that i can't wait to try in the summer.
If you enjoy hiking, this is the place to go. There are nice trails to walk on, some very beautiful views, a little bit of history. I wouldn't recommend to swim there as the pond is not deep at all, but it's good for kayaking. There are many nice spots for barbecue. This conservation aria is only 20-30 min drive... 更多
I visit this conservation area frequently in the off season. Though just on the edge of town, it is a tranquil place for a quiet walk. There are picturesque rock formations, potholes and caves carved out of the limestone by the ice age ancestor of the Eramosa river. Woods of pine, beech, cherry, maple and cedar surround the trail that... 更多
I spent many weekends this past summer at Rockwood and absolutely loved it. The hiking trails are beginner trails but still very scenic. Perfect for young families who may not want to go too far with their little ones. I myself got bitten by the canoe-bug and started canoeing there on a weekly basis. The water is usually calm and... 更多
