First of all, to enter this nice and relaxing park, you have to pay admission fee. However, with your receipt, you can enter other conservation areas within Halton free in the same day. The park is well maintained and I believe the Kelso beach should have life-guards on duty during Summer. Other than swimming, one can rent a boat and... 更多
We had spent the day hiking at Hilton Falls and decided to check out Kelso for a future trip. You can visit all the Halton Conservation Parks for free on the same day once you pay for the first entry fee. It was Saturday afternoon and it seemed very busy. Lots of people down by the beach and the parking... 更多
I went with my wife today for first time we live 30 minutes away from the park and we were happy to discover a beach that near. The old beach as they called it at the entrance gate is dry and is not used for swimming, the new beach is relatively very small can easily filled by few groups.it is... 更多
If you live in Milton or surrounding area and miss driving up north being surrounded by waters, this is your go-to place. Though the body of water is pretty small compared to up north and you can see tons of cars and trucks passing by through the trees, it's as close as you can get without driving the 3hour plus... 更多
Very relaxing and peaceful area, bring some drinks and food. There are volleyball courts set up and lifeguards on duty to watch you swim. You can rent some kayaks and paddle around the lake! After a while you can hike up the ski hills and walk around on the blue spruce trail which gives you a breathtaking view.
I first visited this spot when in University. We have been coming back ever since with friends and family for generations. The walk to Hilton falls is great especially in the fall. You can picnic and cook over an open fire which we have done many times. The kids love it and now the grandkids!
Minutes away from mississauga, lies this beauty. You can do lots of things here- swim, hike, boat, picnic......... great place to spend time with friends
Convenient location. Relatively close from Toronto and easy to access from 401. Plenty of parking space. Each area (beach, canoeing, hiking / ski) is connected and not far to walk to and fro. Good hiking and biking trails with great view from the top. Most of the trails are shared with the bikers, but they are courteous and there's plenty... 更多
