There were 4 mature ladies on this hike and we had fun. The path was a bit muddy in spots, a bit unstable in spots, but it's not a hard climb. I'm 73 and had no problems going up or down. The up is marginal but be aware of tree roots which could spoil the whole hike if you trip.... 更多
We took this relatively easy hike (walk) through the trails to the falls. It was an enjoyable hike that wasn't too strenuous. Fairly level walk until you get closer to the falls where there is a manageable steep climb over rocks to the falls. Loved the sound of rushing waters and the natural beauty of the environment. It had rained... 更多
I recommend you take just the loop, not the climb up the mountain, if you're not looking for a challenging climb over rocks and roots. A bit of a drive from Baddeck - be alert and watch for signs. But if you're here anyway to shop... why not? It's a good hour and a half walk. First part along the... 更多
We went here for a hike. You can go directly to the falls or make a circle to it which makes it a little longer and follows a river. You do not really need hiking shoes but you do need good sturdy shoes. There are many tree roots to avoid and it can be a little muddy and perhaps slippery.... 更多
A 15-20 minute drive from Baddeck gets you to this Provincial Park, no fee. The last 2 miles are on a maintained dirt road. Main Fall River Trail is about 2 miles round trip. Fairly flat at the beginning, with some tree roots on the path. Closer to the falls it is a bit steeper with rocks. Not that difficult,... 更多
We visited Baddeck as our self guided excursion for our cruise ship port stop at Sydney. We took a chance to drive all the way up through a segment of un paved road. The map at trial entrance indicates there are some distance to the falls but we can not guess how long it may take as we had seniors... 更多
This is a lovely, not too challenging hike through Nova Scotia woodland. If you follow the loop trail, you walk along a lovely brook one way and the pretty Baddeck river the other. Even at the end of a dry summer the falls were really nice. (Be sure to walk on a little bit further beyond the last bridge to... 更多
We were going to spend a day touring Baddeck and decided to do this trail on the way. It was beautiful and well marked. We found it an easy trek! Unlike Provincial Parks in Ontario we did not have to pay to use it which was nice! The falls were beautiful!
Uisge Ban Falls is one of my favorite falls in Cape Breton. The walk is fairly easy whether you take the direct path to the falls or you do the full river bend. The falls are beautiful and can be climbed partially with caution. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys a casual hike!
