The issue here is misinformation-- NL Guidebook stated the interpretation centre was open to the end of September. Locals heard that it was closing for the season on the 24th. We arrived on the 21st, but it had just closed for the season. No amount of begging at the door or on the phone could get us in for a... 更多
This museum houses a wonderful experience of what the voyage of John Cabot was like in this replica of his ship. The replica is an amazing tribute to seafaring life of the late 15th century. Well worth a visit as the staff are so very knowledgeable.
Self guided tour in an interesting building. Story told on info boards through the eyes of a child on board. Tour finishes with walking on to the ship which is a replica and has actually sailed.
We found this museum while in Bonavista. There is a history of the ship told from the point of one the people on the ship. It is fascinating to learn about the boat and the voyage. There is also a scaled replica of the boat you can go on. It would be great if you could go on the upper... 更多
Pleasant surprise...a must see museum that is self guided. The history behind the ship is quite interesting. The work done on the replica is amazing!
Good rainy day get away...replica of the ship is interesting but not an identical replica because records of the ship do not exist. The cost is a little high, but guess it goes to maintain the facility?
This is a reproduction of john Cabot's ship and really interesting for history buffs and kids. The story is told by timeline designed to interest kids. Very well done.
I am originally from Bristol so this made it even more interesting. Very enjoyable, learned lots from the exhibits and loved seeing the boat. Definitely worth a visit.

The... 更多
