Very interesting house amazingly large for its time & era. Sad to think of General Custer making that mistake and leaving this beautiful home.Nice items of display some original to the Custer family. Lovely park Nkice place to spend a day
I learned a lot of things I didn't know about him and his wife and children and the fort itself is on the grounds with the house. It;s very awesome, The tour guides are dressed in army atire from that area and talk to as if your back in time, Very cool and I recommend it to everyone.
The Custer House is a great place to see what life on the prairie in the 1870's was like. The interpreters that walk you through the house take you back to the day and stay in character the whole time. This is a great visit to a beautiful part of ND and US history.
We had a guided tour through Custer's house. Our guide had been role playing for Custer's house for 12 years. He was very well informed and a joy to listen to as we went through the house.

This is a great home reconstructed on the site of the original home. You will see how he and his wife modified the orginal plans to make it into a home for entertaining.

At the Custer house there are many artifacts that actually belonged to Custer or his wife when... 更多
Somewhat disappointed that it was mostly a recreated home, but there are some original artifacts and it was nonetheless very interesting to see the home and furnishings. You can also take a nice walk around to view the stables and barracks, and walk down to the river (or take a much longer walk on the paths if you wish). The... 更多
