I got a local friend to take me around the downtown area to see the sights there and then went up to the village to check it out and was really worth the time and effort and will be for any fan of the western writer. I also think the city should really promote the L'Amour aspect of the place...
We stumbled across this small historical village on our way to see the largest Bison statue. It was really neat to walk around and see the trail and the historical village that goes with it. Really should be promoted more!
There was a flyer with a walking tour of the sights. It was disappointing to not see more memorable plaques noting the buildings. Overall a good visit since my husband has almost all of Louis L'Amour books. This needs to be promoted and recognized by Jamestown.
