Really thought there would be more to park. It is pretty and open but the original fort is under the water and there was nothing much left of it prior to the dam flooding the area to make the lake. The museum is informative but small.
This park is beautiful. It has nice cabins to stay and great hiking trails. Be sure to take in the history here from a small museum to actual battle field. If you love to fish this is the place for you. There are many different species to catch.Also, don't forget to check out the prairie dogs.
My husband and I camped here for 2 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The historical part included the Lewis and Clark Expedition and Fort Stevenson. All was well done.
