We took a day trip to Wrightsville Beach today and it was beautiful. 70 degrees and blue sky with little wind. After a great lunch at The Oceanic we walked on the beach for an hour picking up shells and petting all the dogs walking their owners. It the closest beach to our house in SE Raleigh and we can... 更多
Very clean beach! Almost a private beach in front of the Holiday Inn Resort. There are several homes on the island but this is one of only a few hotels in this area of the island. We were here in July and the beach was not crowded at all. Definitely a return destination!
We went to the beach as a day trip and had a great time. Parking was free until March 1st and love the beach with the view of the pier. Did not go on the pier as I think there is a fee but loved the beach area. Saw lots of hammocks hanging from the pier.
Peaceful and quiet, beautiful sandy beaches, we enjoyed the scenery and warm weather. Took a boat ride into town and had lunch.
It's relatively pretty, but there isn't much in terms of facilities (there are a few shower huts, but it pales in comparison to what you get in Carolina Beach, Kure Beach or Ft. Fisher. Only a few decent restaurants (Oceanic), and parking is the most impossible, stressful thing in the world. It was 78 today (Feb 12) so we drove... 更多

The sand is filled with crushed seashells. I had shoes on the entire time because it was colder out, so I don't know how comfortable it would... 更多
Beautiful clear water! Variety of dining and super fun! The center of Wilmington is not far away either. I am obsessed with Wrightsville! So gorgeous-I can't wait to go back.
Trekking up the east coast beaches for 10 days and stopped here for a walk. Nice beach but paying by the hour to park in between the houses doesn't lend itself to being tourist friendly. I'm sure that's intentional. While there are quite a few public access points the parking spots are limited. Scratched this one off.
