Having 1st been to the Pirate Museum in St. Augustine, this museum was a little anti-climatic but perhaps more suitable for children. There was interesting information about Blackbeard to read and the gift shop had some fun things for pirate loving children.
This is a small exhibit in the gift store. This exhibit is only worth it if your are a Blackbeard history buff. The fee was about $25 for our family of six. I don't think we would pay again. However, the gift shop was a great place to get T-shirts. 3 of my sons bought shirts there.
Teach's Hole is a must stop each time we visit Ocracoke. The kids love seeing the exhibits and there are plenty of pirate themed souvenirs in the gift shop. Yes the exhibit is on the small side, but it is always fun to visit. It would be nice if different artifacts could be rotated into the display.
I LOVE walking around. The displays are attractive, and there are books for both young readers and adult readers. Who doesn't love reading about pirates?
Small and fun. We are really into history, especially when it comes to pirates! Affordable stop. Gift shop had some unique gifts along with the normal shop stuff. We loved it! Attendant was extremely gracious to us. It is only open until 2 pm on Sunday's. That is kind of unusual.
