Hike to get to the falls is moderate, but VERY much worth it. I don't think most people would have a very hard time minus the breathing a little hard. Some of the best mountain views I have seen in North Carolina.
This is a great place to visit. Waterfall at one end and valley at the other, except that the valley runs right the way along and you are on top looking in. The track to the farthest point with a vehicle could do with improving, but a SUV can manage it easily. Plenty of places to stop and hike, and... 更多
I live in Linville and this is my first choice to bring friends and family to have an easy 2 to 3 hour hike (be sure to bring a lunch) with fantastic views of the Linville water gorge before climbing to the mountain top.

At nights, you can sometimes see the mysterious "Brown Mountain Lights." Farther up the Gorge is the beautiful Linville Falls, pictured above. On... 更多
Make sure you stop by this place. It is easy to get to - right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, about the 325 marker. Also, it is free ! The trails are wide and well maintained, so it is an easy walk to get to the falls. Go up the 2nd trail to get a better, higher yo view of... 更多
We had been here one time before but ended up getting here later than planned, so this time we were sure to come early. We started out hiking Plunge Basin which was a rocky hike. We enjoyed it, but we were prepared. It was great to be so close to the falls. Gorgeous site. We came back to the parking... 更多
The different trails to the 3 levels of the falls are moderate to strenuous. The trails are not level and are not made for small travelers. The views, however, are worth the trip.
Just a great place to visit. Many beautiful backdrops for photos. Some areas more challenging for hiking, but very doable, since there are places to rest.
