This is an old building that you can walk around and take some pictures. The upstairs was locked, so you have to read the signs to gather a little information. It doesn't take long to see. Not impressed with the market house. Too concerned with watching my back with the shady folks downtown. I get the history significance of it all but just not a good place.
Some lovely old churches and this market place in the old part of town. nearby are some coffee shops and restaurants. Spent a pleasant evening here.
The fact that the site was where North Carolina signed was exciting to me as a history buff. However the upstairs of the building (what's up there) was locked so basically the only thing there were a few signs to read.
This is a old structure in the heart of the downtown area there is not much to see at the market house but the children museum is very close to the market house.
A fantastic piece of Fayetteville's history, be sure to visit the small upstairs exhibits. Great place for iconic photos of Fayetteville. Don't miss the opportunity (twice a year) to view the sunrise thru the arches.
This historical spot was located in the middle of town square. What a fascinating reminder of where we have been and where we still need to go. Old Town Fayetteville is a great place to walk and take in some history. There are nice, informative placards on all the important places of interest. The Markethouse is right in the middle, and as the photo shows there are good places to rest in the shade. On the downside, the square attracts vagrants and riffraff so you probably won't... 更多
