Yesterday we hiked the Mingo Waterfall. It was just as described: an uphill, .4 mile stair climb. It is considered moderate due to 100+ stairs. However it was one of the easiest hikes we completed during our visit. this was such a beautiful waterfall. lots of steps to get to it but worth every step. we have been to the mountains several times and wanting to see a water fall and this was a very nice one to visit.
I am a Canadian and was down hiking waterfalls in the smokies and must say this one is great. Hardly anyone else around and a very tall waterfall. So glad I saw it.
The climb features steps and a handrail. This is followed by a short flat trail. You view the falls from a bridge with solid railings, but steep steps. Soco Falls offers quicker access, but Mingo Falls is more impressive when there is adequate water.

The falls are definitely worth the stop! Easy climb up the stairs and a short walk to the falls. We also hiked to the very top of Mingo Falls where there is a much smaller waterfall. The hike to the top is a bit challenging at times and the trail is not well maintained. Mingo Falls is one of my... 更多

Not recommended for anyone with back trouble. If you can make the journey it's well worth it! After climbing the steps there is a short... 更多
