If you are making your way from the central area of Charlotte down to Freedom park this is a great way to get there, a pleasant walk along the creek away from traffic. The walkway is well signposted, closer to the central district there are some info boards to give a little more on the area and the creek but... 更多
It's not too hard to get there, you don't have to drive and park but it's possible. Honestly I wish it was longer, because it makes seeing the city easier. There is a ton of garbage in the stream which probably washes down every time it rains. It was cleaned recently because sand and mud were pushed to the sides.
We have enjoyed biking on this greenway that has lots of interesting things to see. We have also rented extra bikes for family members using B-Cycles which is very reasonably priced. Love that you can travel through Freedom Park and nice neighborhoods, as well as be along the creek and see parts of uptown.
It starts behind the Park Road Shopping Center and travels along a totally paved path. Some of the Greenway goes on neighborhood roads but is ver safe. It is a great place to bike with kids.
I found this trail by accident while visiting Charlotte for a girls weekend. I left our hotel (Hyatt House in Uptown) and went about .7 miles before I saw this trail. I jumped on and LOVED IT! I went about 1 mile before I turned can came back. So glad I found it! Loved the ducks in the water, the... 更多
The city keeps improving this greenway as time goes on. I live nearby and going along with Greenway is great for a nice bike ride. It is great for families, dates, or just along. I enjoy it and think anyone would for a small adventure on a nice day.
This was a fun paved path along the water. Fish were in the river. Saw ducks and their ducklings, geese. Beautiful bloomed flowers. Love that it's a tobacco free park (although some don't follow this rule). Cute water fountains along the way. Zenn Garden was cute. Free admission and parking available near by.
I went for a run on this Greenway from Elisabeth St. to Freedom park and back. 4 miles round trip. Very nice! You feel like you are out in the country, even though you are right down town. Walk/Run/Bike path is right next to the creek. Very impressed!
