During the last week of the winter special, six adults and four grandies, the oldest 10. Units 923, 921 and 920 have new outdoor seating from this time last year. Other than that, nothing has changed in the accommodation. On arrival, unit 923 had no mixing bowls or colander, but they did appear at some stage (while we were out),... 更多
We stopped at Geordie Bay whilst cycling around the island and it was virtually deserted! Somewhat disappointing to see such ugly chalet style accommodation right up to the beach but i should imagine its humming in peak season and a really fun place to be.
It was the first time I have stayed at Geordie Bay and in the Chalets. They were very basic, however, for a family beach holiday they were fine. The power kept going out throughout Rottnest whilst we were there, apprently this can become worse during high season, ie when there is a lot of demand on power, so bring a... 更多
Villas are close to the beach and all have 2 or 3 bedrooms, so are good for sharing. Shops, laundry and bus stop close by.
We stayed at Geordie Bay ocean view cottage for 2 winter nights. A nice self contained cottage with kitchen utensils and cutlery. The beach is just right in front of us but it was too cold for a swim... The place where we stayed is very near to the general store, cafe and bus stop which is very convenient for... 更多
Scuba-diving off the beach at Geordie Bay was the most amazing activity we did during our summer break! Crayfish were abundant as were the octopus, juvenile fish, squid and even saw one nudibranch. Accommodation was very average - ants constantly streaming into the cottage made it difficult to leave any bread or supplies out.
Another recommendation from our hotel, we spent the day on Rottnest Island, leaving by boat from Fremantle around 10am and returning at 2pm. The highlight was definitely seeing the Quokkas that are very inquisitive and cute. The have a free bus on Rottnest Island that goes to Geordie Bay which is beautiful. However most of the exploring on Rottnest Island... 更多
When we visited Geordie Bay, we wished we were staying there instead of in the main settlement of the island! It looked so calm and peaceful with such a colourful bay - and only 5 mins by bus from the ferry. Maybe next time?
