Spent three days in Syracuse and we visited here everyday, our 7 year old Grandson got a big kick out of feeding the ducks and looking at the baby ducks. This was a bigger hit than the Zoo! It's a nice walk around the pond with lots of benches, you can donate any amount and get corn to feed the... 更多
Stumbled upon Webster Pond recently, it's a cute little pond tucked away in Onondaga Valley, The really great part here is that you can feed the Canada Geese. For the most part they're all very friendly and will come right up to you. The walking trail around the pond is quaint. This might not be an all day destination, but... 更多
If this is on the Syracuse tourism map, it shouldn't be. It's just a little pond on the city's "valley" section that is stocked with fish where kids are encouraged to try their luck at catching one of them. It's a cute place to stop if you have very young children, but the "valley" ain't what it used to be.... 更多
Before you go, stop at Lee's Feed and Needs, which is under a mile away off of Seneca Turnpike. Although the place is rustic, you can buy a huge bag of crack corn for around $12 (enough for several visits, or a large family to feed the hungry duckies for an hour with buckets full). We keep buckets from Halloween... 更多
So, this is a place I visited since I was a kid. You can see and feed the ducks and geese. You can note their migration in the spring and fall. Kids even do fishing derbys. It costs next to nothing. they ask for a donation for cups of food to feed the ducks. They appreciate every nickel. this place... 更多
This Pond is great for anyone. Come for a few hours and feed the ducks. Sit on the benches and just relax. The feed is either free or for donation. Can't remember because I always leave $1 a cup. Cheap, fun experience. Surrounding area north of here can be sketchy. I live very close by this pond. However, not far... 更多
If you want a nice weekend visit to do with your children or grandchildren then this is the place!. A nice pond with a lot of water foul to feed. It is fun to watch the children feed the ducks. And the water is very pretty. I love just going for a nice quiet relaxing spot.
We've been coming here for years to spend some relaxing time walking around the pound and feeding the ducks. Great place to spend a quiet Sunday or Saturday afternoon.
As a child we would go there regularly to feed the ducks and I have kept the tradition going with my child and will with my future grandchild. A gorgeous hidden gem in Syracuse.
Been coming here for 39 years. It's fun to feed the ducks and geese the kids love it and the new path is nice for a walk. Mosquitos are bad in a couple spots so wear bug spray if you plan on walking the path. They have food right there for the ducks and geese.
