From the 8 foot canna display at the entrance to the property, to the wonderful touches of art deco architecture, this legendary amusement park holds special memories for anyone who had summer childhood memories. Coming back as an adult doesn't disappoint either. The music, the rides, the boardwalk, the views of Long Island sound are fabulous. My only negative is... 更多
As a child and later a young adult I enjoyed going to Rye Playland. Then I got married and moved to the Jersey Shore and I essentially forgot about it. Flash forward 15 years and 3 children later, we found ourselves traveling up to Westchester for a wake and decided to take our 3 boys, ages 14, 11, and 7... 更多
Nice place to visit at least once. Small park with limited # of rides. A mix of old and new. easy to get to either by car or public transportation. Picnic area available as food is average but on the pricey side. Young teens would have great time. Because of 2 rides the park is is on national registrar... Lake... 更多
This amusement park was ok. Great place for kids under 16. Park is very clean and lots of places to sit down in the shade. Most parks like this don't have a lot of trees, but this place does which is a plus. The one down side is the vendors. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for my taste ($3.00 for a 16... 更多
This is a great park with a nice assortment of rides for all! For those of us who remember it from childhood -- the park still has most of that 'feel'. We took advantage of the $15 per person rate on a Thursday Night. This is a great deal! The park was crowded but very manageable. I had gone last... 更多
I grew up going to Playland and though a few rides have changed it is just as I remember. The park was clean and not too crowded on a Wednesday during the day when I went. The lines moved quickly and the rides were fun. We used a coupon because it can be a little pricey.
I have been coming here forever, always fun. Close by. The rides are fun, very little wait time concidering it was a friday night. Priced right. The highlight was the fireworks, a beautiful show over Long Island Sound. The ending is amazing. I wish they still did them Wednesday also.
My family of 5 (I have 3 kids from ages 7 - 12) decided to take advantage of the $15/person deal by arriving for 5 pm on a Wednesday. The crowd was mostly families with young children, and it wasn't overly crowded. At $15 each its a real bargain. For our first visit, we all got to experience what the... 更多
I've been going to Playland ever since I can remember. My first memories are of when my parents brought me back in the late 70's. I now take my own children and they love it just as much as I do. There are 7 original rides that pre-date 1930 including the famous wooden Dragon Coaster, the Whip, Ye Olde Mill,... 更多
My mom, 87yrs, has been taking me on what I will call her "Bucket List" tour. We haven't been there since I was maybe 12-14 yrs old, sooo 45yrs ago (ouch!). I was impressed! They have maintained the park beautifully, and some of the rides I remember were still there, especially the Horses..not the carousel mind you...plenty of staff keeping... 更多
