Another beautiful place you can visit any time of the year! Powder Mills Park is a haven for cross country skiers Swain Ski Center and the Monroe County Parks Department run a downhill ski area too. Great place to start the kids! There is also sledding (in designated areas) and snow shoeing here. Fishing (with your NYS license), Geo-caching and... 更多
I have only seen some of this park but plan on going and exploring more. I have fished there with my son. We didn't catch anything but it was a relaxing and pleasurable trip. Also nice to visit the hatchery and see what they have there.
I have been coming to this park since I was a little kid (so about 40years) I have been to numerous family reunions here and many trips just to check out the fish in the hatchery, and feed the ducks. There is always a new area to explore. You would never know by the entrance that this park is as... 更多
This is a great park for walking and, in the winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There are a variety of short trails of varying difficulty. It has hilly terrain, meadows, wetlands & flower fields, plus an on-site fish hatchery. There is a kids' playground and a bunny slope with a tow-rope. A nice little creek runs through the park allowing... 更多
Powdermill is a nice park close in to the suburbs with a fair amount of space to roam. The park has a number of different trails that allow you to get out and away if you wish, although you can't go miles, you can get a nice break. There are some wetlands and there is a daffodil meadow that was... 更多
I don't live far, but rarely visit. The park is pretty busy..........fish hatchery is hit or miss. In the winter, there is a ski trail (bunny slope) cabins for rent......etc. I prefer a park with less traffic & less people so I can walk my dog off leash.
I live near Powder Mills Park and love to walk over and enjoy the beautiful, quiet surroundings. There are great hiking trails, cabins to rent (great for birthday or graduation parties), and the Fish Hatchery.
Having lived and raised a family near Powder Mills Park I have to say that I long thought of it as my backyard playground. It's not big, but it's big enough to take a long walk. There are lodges to rent for parties or reunions, a meandering Irondequoit Creek to cool your feet in summer and a sweet little ski... 更多
