We were looking for a relaxing spot to meander through one day in the rain and these gardens intrigued us. It matched our expectations -- the gardens were a manageable size, with a life-size zen meditative garden, a bamboo grove, maple and ginkgo trees among other varieties and lily ponds with frogs. The different garden designs were very inspirational and... 更多
I met a friend at the Hammond Museum to view the "Of Pirates, Mermaids and True Loe:100 Years of Tattoo Art". It was really interesting to see the tattoos before color. They were mostly black and red and then green was used. If you have tattoos or are interested in what they used to look like before the ones we... 更多
A truly exquisite garden that is comprised of several different types of Japanese garden. The flowers are beautiful the Spring and early summer but the garden is a delight at any time of year. The art exhibits can also be exquisite.
the museum is very small. the grounds were kinda run down. the map they give didn't match up with path to walk on. this is nice place to just sit and look at trees. thought there be more Japanese things in the grounds but there wasn't.
I went with friends and we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and peaceful t!his Museum and garden was. The grounds are just beautiful. A real treasure

Although we didn't plan to, we spent quite a bit of time in the museum as well, enjoying an exhibit of Chinese calligraphy, and a collection of glass sculptures by a contemporary artist. It was very enjoyable, and... 更多

Once you arrive, you enter the museum, which really isn't a museum at all but gallery with rotating exhibits and a reception hall for weddings and other events. To me, the real attraction is the stroll garden, which, as stroll gardens... 更多
As someone who has lived in Japan, I was disappointed both by the museum and the garden. They are a pleasant enough afternoon stroll on a weekend, but struck me as a dilettante's place.
