That's what the woman behind the counter said. I don't like rollercoasters, but the rest of my group does, so I went. We were in Lake Placid for a conference and we received souvenir t-shirts and pins after our ride. Not sure if that's something they always do, or if it was just for us, but it was nice. They... 更多
See and feel what it's like to slide down the curvy bobsled track in a bobslet on wheels! It's not for the faint of heart, but still a thrill to watch!
If you are interested in this event that you mostly only see on tv this is a great place to experience it up close. You can even give it a try if you dare.
Didn't have time to go to all the Olympic Venues but did stop by this one. Took the little bus tour up to the top of the luge. Tour guide/driver gave history of the luge/bobsled at Lake Placid. Learned a lot of information on this little tour. Recommend this for everyone of all ages.
I did the summer bobsled ride and it was awesome. A little expensive but worth it. Riding the historic track used in the 1980 Olympics is a kick all by itself. The ride is fast and by the time you hit the last curve you are hitting the wall pretty high up. I highly recommend it.
Other than our tour guide thinking that Whistler and Vancouver were the same place it was neat to walk down the track top to bottom.
Its a nice complex. The Bobsled is definitely worth it... Save by purchasing the olympic passport and visit other sites as well (whiteface mountain- Gondola ride & memorial highway, olympic jumping complex-chairlift & elevator ride, and olympic museum). The complex has a small museum and gift shop. Went with kids.. Older ones enjoyed the bobsled $52/child with olympic passport discount..... 更多
A bit disappointing really. Hours of operation are not convenient with last run of the day going before 4:30pm. $75 US per person gets you 1 90 second (apx) run down the mountain on wheeled bobsled, a t-shirt, a pin a lanyard, maybe some other trinket. Ground looked unkept and a bit run down for an attraction. Found the staff... 更多
This is a well run tour with good value, especially if you buy the Olympic passport. You can book the bobsled experience on line but we just showed up and there was space. It only runs Thursday to Monday so plan accordingly. Ride only lasts 40 seconds but you'll never forget it. Exhilarating.
