We visited here on a warm morning to hike and run. It was a Saturday and they didn't offer senior rates on weekends but said if we arrived before 7 am we could have entered for free (cost $10) per vehicle. The boardwalk only runs for 3/4 mile so you have to turn back around or you can use other... 更多
Sunken Meadow has some of the best hiking and bird-watching on the North Shore of Long Island. Best to go on a weekday, or off-season as it can get very crowded on the weekend. Golf courses are also in very nice shape, with reasonable wait times. I wouldn't choose to go to the beach at Sunken Meadow, there are much... 更多
This was our first time here..the place seemed pretty deserted and pretty dirty as well but we decided to stay since we did an hour ride and we had paid a $10 fee to get in the park so we stood..we decided to walk on the beach from end to end and that's when the fun began for us anyways... 更多

The boardwalk is great for taking either a power walk or a scenic walk. Water is close by and clean. Has many activities to fill your day.
I wasn't expecting much when I first arrived but I have to say it was nice and clean and the boardwalk was quite lovely. I enjoy going for a jog on the boardwalk because everyone is friendly and there aren't alot of kids.
Go for the beach, golf or just to walk the boardwalk - you won't be dissappointed. As a local I run up when I can, but at times when I can avoid the crowds. For instance, a great place for a mid winter walk to get outside - or anytime of year!
