There are a few moderate hiking trails to choose from in Glimmerglass State Park. We chose the Sleeping Lion Trail, which is about 2.4 miles. The trail was well marked, and while there was an uphill section in the beginning, the rest was a beautiful walk in the woods.
We luckily got a campsite for one night without having a reservation, but because this is a popular campground, advance reservations are highly recommended. Our tent campsite was in the overflow Beaver Pond area which doesn't have restroom/shower facilities; these are located in the main camping area. The facilities at the nearby beach area were unlocked early in the morning,... 更多
We had an event at the Beach Parking lot and at Hyde Hall. The management was wonderful to work with and the event went off flawlessly. The rest of the park seems top be well run and lovely. Hyde Hall is really very interesting and well presented. The grounds are beautiful you get a good feeling for the history of... 更多

The park is very clean, with lots of picnic tables, a boat ramp, pavilions and camp grounds, and a swimming area. The glimmer glass comes into play when the sun reflects off the calm lake. Everything was... 更多

We would like to have had time for a hike, but it rained early in the day and we got here late and the children were having too much fun.
We stayed at Glimmerglass last minute. Luckily we were able to get a primitive site. Staff pleasant and helpful. The park is lovely. However, some things would be very helpful in their site brochure: generator hours, where to put trash for overnight guests (it is not very obvious - only a small trash can at dump station), and a reminder... 更多
