I visited Secret Caverns in the fall of 2013 during a trip to Howe Caverns. They have a hotel there, and a great tour, but this place is LITERALLY 5 minutes away, so why not check it out also if you have the time? My husband preferred this one because it is not as polished and commercialized. I also liked... 更多
We came here with three adults and two children. Our tour guide's name was Kevin. He was a lot of fun. He had a great sense of humor laced throughout an educational tour. The formations were interesting and well named. The hands on, close and personal approach made this a unique and memorable visit. All five of us had a... 更多
Brought my children here in 1996. Not sure how we found it without Trip Advisor back then! Great experience, unique from so many other caves we have explored since! Now I'm sharing this experience with my wonderful husband who has never been here. A must see, just do it!
My boyfriend and I decided to visit secret caverns as a miniature daytime "date." It was $18 dollars for the tour, which I thought may be a little too much for the length of the tour, but it is great!!! You actually get a real cave experience walking around and under obstacles and are allowed to feel the walls unlike... 更多
Visited the caverns today, fun day trip with family and friends. We have visited several other caverns along the east coast and I would rate the secret caverns somewhere in the middle. We were lucky to be leaving just as two tour busses pulled into the parking lot. If you are going to visit these caverns or any other, be... 更多
To enter the cave you have to walk down 103 steps. Lots of running water along inside the cave, but passage way for the most part was ok (there were some small puddles in some places, but it wasn’t anything to get a shoe soaked unless you stepped off the passage way. We were able to touch some of the... 更多
Secret caverns is much more fun and natural. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining. Their are much more interesting formations then Howe caverns, and you can touch whatever you want. Their is also a very nice waterfall at the end of the tour.
Simply put this cave is a big let down, because I visited the Corning museum of glass and watkin glen state park. The secret cavern is nothing compared to those two attractions. The steps down to the cave are slippery and wet, several people in our group fell down the stairs and injured themselves. The caves are not very interesting... 更多
I went to the secret caverns after visiting Howe Cavern so it was a letdown because it is not as huge as Howe. It was still interesting from a geological viewpoint. I found the signage that drew me there to be interesting as well.
This is a small privately owned operation and much more laid back than the bigger operation next door. The feel to the cave is much more natural than commercial and is quiet a different feel to it. It is a lot tighter throughout and just feels more like a cave. The waterfall at the end is very unique and worth... 更多
