I loved hearing the bells chime the time as I wandered the streets of Old Mesillia Village. The church is right in the center and at the plaza so it is not hard to find.
You can walk into this church anytime. Just be mindful of where you are at. It is an old historic church that is a part of Old Mesilla, It is still in use by local parishioners. Very nice architecture. Very pleasing.
The have Sunday service very nice and interesting a nice place to visit ,after the service there are vendors and music in the plaza,plus places for lunch.
At least stop and see the gift shops and the old adobe homes which are so real to the area. We drove around just to see the old buildings after we were all shopped out.
A short respite at an historic church in Mesilla- very peaceful. Interesting bit of history. Well worth the stop. Gift shop was closed which was disappointing as we had heard it was worth visiting.
I loved the atmosphere here! We went there to Las Cruces - White Sands Missile Range for the Bataan Death March Marathon in March (brutal but rewarding) and stayed in Las Cruces for the night.
