Never ever do this trip without another person and lots of water. People have died because of not taking precautions. Make sure you go on a day that is cool or early in the morning. The Dripping Springs area is truly beautiful, as now part of the Organ Monument, you will have a great hike, make sure to check out the Hermits cave area and the ruins of the old Tuberculosis Sanitarium. It is a great place to hike or walk. The scenery is fantastic. You can see the city if you walk up a little. The trails are very well marked. We frequently walk that trail.
