We have a second home in Angel Fire. When I was young, my family camped at the Cimarron Canyon State Park. It was awesome. The scenery is beautiful and the sound of the river adds greatly to the ambiance. The river is fun to fly fish, if you are so inclined. Campground is nice and well maintained.

The views are absolutely breath taking! My 11 year old granddaughter commented that you could explore "here" your whole life and never be done.
oh my goodness. I just happened to be back on this site and saw that I only gave it one star. Total mistake! This is one of my favorite places any where!!!!
