Had and arts and crafts event there and took a tour of the house. Lots of old furniture and artifacts from Old NM. Worth the trip.
One of the most interesting historical sites in the ABQ area, the tour lasts about 1.5 hours. Owned by the historical society, the docents are engaged and well versed in local lore. So many old and historical artifacts and architecture made us feel like we were actually visiting an ranchero from long ago.
Today my wife and I accompanied our 10 year old grandsons fifth grade class. What a wonderful experience. The history provided by the docent was first rate .the artifacts priceless ,the home wonderful. Just sorry we never went in the past .But we will return. You have the opportunity stop and visit.
