Ferry was free for our kids (12 and under) during summer & Christmas holiday. Fast and run frequently. The only issue was the connecting bus. We missed it regularly as the signage for tourists is limited. Not many staff around to ask and by the time you do the bus is gone...with 20+ min. wait for next one. Buses are... 更多
The ferry is fast, on time and super convenient with the free buses across town. You also get to see the Statue of Liberty from not too far. Parking is free and there's plenty of space when arriving early. However, the fare is quite expensive.
Very good way to reach New York from NJ, runs very frequently, Best deal buy tickets are online and use the app to use them, It's cheaper that way People who check the tickets on t he boat are very rude, Make sure you have your paper ticket or app ready for them, otherwise be prepared to get yelled in... 更多
I do not understand why this is listed under thing to do, it is a mode of transportation, NOT a tour boat. It's purpose is to get you across the Hudson river quickly, and it does that very well. The termnal is well lit and reasonably clean. the fery ride takes a short 10 minutes or so and igt gives you breathtaking views of the new York skyline while you are heading to New Jersey. At the ferry terminal you have... 更多
First and foremost, my respect and thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen who provide us with a daily "quick, easy and safe crossing the Hudson river." Ever since "9/11" I'm terrified to get into the NY/NJ tunnels and avoid the subways as much as possible. Someone, due to my respiratory condition, getting sick with the buses and NY polution,... 更多
My favorite way to cross into NY from NJ is the waterways. It's a easily accessible, clean, friendly atmosphere and you have free bus transportation into the city and to take you back to the port authority when your leaving. Two bad things though. First, the names are confusing from Weehawken and we ended up buying tickets to the wrong... 更多
