The Trenton Battle Monument is an impressive obelisk that honors the victory of the American army over the British army on December 26, 1776. At the bottom of the monument are two statues of soldiers who appear to be standing guard. On the door, is a plaque engraved with a portion of a speech from the British colonial secretary, which... 更多
One of the stops on our family trip this year brought us to New Jersey over Columbus Day weekend. On our way to Atlantic City, we stopped at the Trenton Battle Monument. That monument is in shambles. Poor representing for such an important part of our history. I read most of the reviews and they're pretty much on target. It... 更多
Dont park and walk around. Drive directly to the monument. Cant go inside of it. No film, no touring...just the tall monument with Washington at the top pointing in the direction they attacked..worth going to see though. You're at the spot where Washington had his first victory! You'll only be here about 10 minutes if not less. The worst part... 更多

When we went to visit you could not go inside. Honestly I don't know the last time people were allowed inside. The area around it needs to be cleaned up. It's sad because Trenton is so full of history but this monument seems like it was forgotten. I read the plaque to my children and we discussed it the history... 更多

We were there on a Sunday and the monument was not open (but not sure if it really opens to go inside). We stopped for about 10 minutes and took photos. The location is right on the edge of... 更多
Once you hear the battle of Trenton you should drive by the Battle Monument just to get a perspective of the hill it sits upon for the feel of the battle.
We did a walking tour of the Battle of Trenton and this was the starting place. Area around is a bit iffy but we walked through the neighborhood with no issues.
One of the greatest battles our country has ever been in, its' memorials and its meaning has been lost to... 更多
