Unusual to have a state house tour on a Saturday but they offer them twice a month which was great. The building itself as compared to other state capitals is about average. The outside is attractive but needs some work. It is hard to get a view of the entire building because it is blocked by other smaller buildings. The... 更多
Upon entering, we were required to show photo I.D. and were "airport" checked. We were asked to wear a Visitor's Badge during the tour. Parking is free and ample. The tour was free of charge. Our tour guide was friendly, professional and informative. We were given a tour of the Governor's office, the Senate and Assembly. Historic information about the... 更多
Wife and I visited her with our pet corgi last weekend so we could add it to our state Capitol stop. The front of the building is in much need of repair. I was appalled at this. The paint on the upper balcony was chipped and peeling. The state seal on the front steps was cracked and looked rusted. I... 更多
The NJ State House ( Capitol building ) in Trenton is definitely the most unattractive Capitol building that we have visited ( of a couple dozen ). They do have a small but lovely gold dome, and a small rotunda which is pretty. All beauty ends there. The tour guide, bless his heart, was very knowledgeable and did a great... 更多
Unfortunately we went on a bank holiday weekend and it was closed, but well worth the walk of the grounds. It has a lot of things to see and experience, all within walking distance. The grounds are well kept and with the weather warming up, it was nice for a spontaneous picnic.
We've been to a ton of state capitals and really enjoyed this one. Very informative and got to step into the Governor's office, see where he does his speeches, etc. Learned a bunch about the state seal and past Presidents. Probably took about an hour or so. Parked right on the street luckily as there was parking right in front
To tell you the truth I was surprised we were able to view so much of the state house. I even go to sit in a delegates chair. The architecture is less grander than in other state capitol's that I have been in, but nice none the less. Check to find out if they are receiving before you go.
