Visited the park for my first hike which began and end near the manor. The trails we took were considered moderate, which weren't as taxing as I would have expected. There weren't a lot of bugs, but that may have been due to the time of year we visited. Will definitely visit again. Mostly like on the mountain biking trails.
We enjoyed a wonderful picnic overlooking the stream…hidden in the woods. (No liquor allowed although we had wine and did not know!) Charming ambiance. Afterwards, we took a tour of the Cooper Hewitt mansion on the grounds of the park... a beautiful estate with original furnishings. Tour lasts 1 1/2hrs and is very reasonable and enjoyable. Walking through the gardens... 更多
Big facility with three different sections. You pay an admission fee to get in $5 My wife and I hiked the extreme trail. Actually by mistake. Not very well marked and the maps are useless. Went by the Botanical gardens area. parked in lot C and off to the trail. No signage and followed the red little rectangle sighs (also... 更多

Bring a book and let the kids play. Paddleboats, canoes available. Being garbage bags and be prepared to carry your garbage out of the park. New... 更多
Visited Ringwood Manor yesterday for a tour of the grounds and gardens. The guide was the park historian and very knowledgeable who obviously loves her subject. Two and a half hours went by quickly as we saw buildings that are not usually accessible to the public. A great day to send a leisurely stroll learning about history. Enjoyed it immensely.
My entire family found something to enjoy. The restored house and tour was great. We also had a picnic by the brook, walked the trails and toured the outbuildings and art gallery. There was a fantastic exhibit of school kids art which I enjoyed, while the "boys" went fishing. No wifi, but it was hardly missed by my kids.
This was a side trip activity while visiting Ringwood and I would love to go back to this area. Absolutely beautiful and so much to do. Highly recommend a visit. Picnic lunch, hiking, canoeing, swimming or just to relax. it was very nice
Where else can you get all this ? You will pay a fee but it is worth it. One time we went rowing and swimming. Another time we shot skeet and drank hot coco. Another time we shot and saw the beautiful gardens. What a great place for the whole family. We make the trip from CT and always have... 更多
