This Museum is a great testimony to those who served our country in the Navy, with an Emphasis on the Silent service, or Submarine service. Unfortunately the museum was pretty much destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. The Submarine the USS Ling was unharmed by the storm. Shame on the state of New Jersey for not restoring this museum and monument. I... 更多
I am sad to report this museum is closed PERMANETLY. Its too bad because it was good one.... but with a submarine you need money to make repairs - and they didn't have it....
The Ling has been in Hackensack for many years... my Dad is a plank owner and a member there as well as a Navy Veteran. The Ling has been evicted from its mooring and the boat and museum have no where to go. They are closed and no longer receiving visitors.
My grandfather took me and my brother as a kid. I just recently took my son to see. He loved it. Our tour guide was stationed on this sub when he was in the Navy. So that was a plus. I do think it's a little pricey for what they offer. But to be fair, they do not receive any... 更多
We almost missed it on the river rd. The place is small just one submarine that was closed when we got there. The open hours are on the weekends - 10am -4pm but when we got there on Saturday at around 13:00, it was closed, we were despondent. Not recommend for teenagers, maybe for small kids.

If you have elementary aged kids you will not be disappointed! The tour guide was incredibly informative. It is easy... 更多
I've been here a few times as a kid and a few times as a father of two boys. The museum is a hidden gem in NJ. It's not very big but the sub is full of great things and the staff goes out of their way to walk you through the history of the boat and WWII submarine warfare.... 更多
We had a memorable time visiting the NJ Naval Museum. We were privileged to be taken on a tour of the sub by Joseph Mongelli - a 95 year old WW2 Submariner. He knew every inch of the submarine (he had served on a similar ship) and gave us a fascinating insight to what life was like on board. He... 更多
