Love it , ad you must stop at Addicted jeans and Mary's shop the most amazing restaurants hoping and people around the village the museum is amazing i have many amazing memories there as well as I can go there anytime as i live here, but recommend it all to all
Visited about a year ago. Good historical display of the mill itself, the quarry behind it, and a store and schoolhouse. Gives you a good idea of how the mill was used and what it was like to live in Clinton Hunterdon County back in the day. The mill itself is ridiculously picturesque (see the picture).
The museum is interesting to visit. It's not just the Red Mill building that everyone sees in the picture, but also other period buildings relocated to this site from different areas of Hunterdon County. Outside was beautiful, but inside very dingy. One floor closed. The mill wheel was not working, even though we had been told on the website it was repaired. We visited this quaint and picturesque place during the Memorial Day Weekend, and were very impressed with all that New England charm right here in our home state of New Jersey. visited the museum on a beautiful spring afternoon...well worth the visit....operating water wheel, interesting exhibits...beautiful location.....a fun afternoon.
What detailed work has been put into this museum village. A learning place that is fun, hands on and kids children interested.
