Nice museum. Good exhibits on when this was a dive bomber training airport for WWII dive bombers. Airport is nice too if you have a small plane. Decent breakfast / lunch joint on site but call, as of this date closed for renovations. If you fly in GA you will need a car or taxi to get to the beach....
Went on a very rainy cold windy day! Dress warm as the hangar is not heated. The movie was excellent. There are many planes and helicopter you can sit, touch and climb around. Many hands on activities for kids. Nice 9/11 exhibit. The 1940's room was great!! Fun and interesting! When you are done or before you enter, be sure... 更多
A sunny November day when we visited the museum was quiet but interesting. As a maritime aviator I found it fascinating to learn about the history of Naval Aviation Training in the area as well as seeing some of the great aircraft they have on display.
My father-in-law was stationed here during WWII and we were surprised and thrilled to find this museum and to learn more about that time in his life. The man working at the time we visited was very helpful and shared much about the station and the museum and its creation. Unfortunately he informed us that most of the records of... 更多
We visited on a Tuesday morning later in October. The museum is located at the Cape May Airport inside historic Hangar #1. We didn't have any trouble finding the museum using our GPS. There is parking right in front. We both really enjoyed it. There are quite a few aircraft (planes, helicopters, etc), a Control Tower you can climb the... 更多
This was a must on my list, so after seeing many places on my wife's list we finally arrived. I was as expected, but wish some of the items on display had information attached.
Perfect destination for a rainy day (or dry for that matter). LOTS of history here both personal and mechanical. I was the one who wanted to visit here and my girlfriend went along with the plan to make me happy, but she enjoyed it as much as I did (standing right next to a "Top Gun" F-14 was the highlight... 更多
The Naval Air Station Wildwood hangar is loaded with military aircraft that is available to touch, and in some cases, sit in. I am no airplane buff, but I was fascinated by the Russian Mig, the Grumman F-14 and F16?, several military helicopters (including one that was used in the production of the TV show MASH). There was a mock-up... 更多
Looking for new things to do in Cape May with our 4year old. What fun and fascinating this quaint naval air station is. Our son had a blast and so did we. You can actually get in to some of the displays/planes. Take pics, etc.
This museum is on the site of a WW2 training base and makes use of a large open hangar for display. It will not make you forget the National Air and Space Museum but for a locally run museum, its quite an unexpected gem. There are a number of aircraft present, from trainers to torpedo bombers to an F-14 to... 更多
