Three miles round trip. If you have two cars you can start at the parking area below the mountain and go up one side and end at the parking lot for the Flume. We went up and back from the Flume - nice to have bathrooms nearby when you are done. It's steep, and long, but so extraordinary at the... 更多
Lots of parking at the trailhead. We went up the blue trail which was well marked. The trip up is about 3.6 miles; we took our time and the entire hike took about three hours up and down total. It is a 1,300 foot elevation gain and the trail is steep in some parts. I would say it is a... 更多

This is a great hike to take when in the area. From certain places on the highway one can see the outline of the Indian head that was on the nickel. Great views.
We have hiked many mountains but Indian is a great one and not that difficult a hike. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. It's on the 52 with a view list and gives an awesome view!
Great views of the mountain and Indian Chief on side of mountain and they have a huge gift shop with lots of souvenirs to choose from
Indian Head is a great place to stay and eat. It is showing it's age in some respects, BUT, the staff here is great, and the food in the restaurant is very, very good. The pools and jacuzzis (heated indoor and outdoor) are always clean and well maintained. I can't say enough about how great the staff is here. We... 更多
