As with my opinion of the campus, this is also the best of the best Ivy libraries. It's conveniently located in the center of campus and both modern and historic.

Baker Library is a great facility and is run by a very dedicated staff. Like all good libraries it has plenty of material in the form of books and historic artifacts to serve many needs. This was a remarkable library! The Baker-Berry Library has five levels, sorted by amount of noise on the floor, a fully functional student service center, a huge collection of books and a small café as well. The library's bottom floor was lined with murals and the architecture was awesome.
I take all my out of town guests to see the Orozco murals…they are historic, and impressive, thought-provoking, as there are moving topics covered. You would not expect to find such (non-quiet) murals behind the doors of a library.
you will note the Baker Library building write across the green as you arrive to Dartmouth. There is a lot more there than books. Amusing place. Visit the Baker tower and the third floor reading room and you will learn why. :)
Worth every minute...and plan to stay for a while. It takes a long time to absorb every panel. They are so beautiful and sitting in the center of the 1% makes them even more poignant .
