We went to the Great Balloon Race which was held in this park.It was fantastic! When the balloon race was over ,we walked around the park ,which was huge.It was very nice and clean.
This park is the host of the balloon launch in September as well as a number of community events. We saw people taking wedding and quinceanera photos and many, many family barbecues. The Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is about a mile from the casino area. It is mostly uphill but if you walk at all it will be an easy hike. The park features many walking trails, an arboretum and a museum. You walk thru the University of Nevada to get there. Do it, you will be glad you did.

This park is so close to the heart of the city that it u is a must visit when visiting reno. Lots of open space for a walk or a picnic. Very well kept and not too crowded. A museum and a garden to enjoy. Lots of paring and if fido joins you there is a great open dog park.
This is a great park for the whole family. Dog area as well as play area for children. The Reno Balloon Races start out here every September.
