We had an excellent tour of the Ranch with Mark. It was fun to explore the early days of a wealthy family in the Carson Valley. The home contains all original items from the family and is uniquely displayed. What a treasure!
We couldn't find much info on this place, but it had been recommended. Got there Friday am and found out you must have reservations to see the place, but we were invited to walk around and see the grass, and one outer building that had been like a root cellar. We attended a Twilight Concert. Performer was Milton Merlos. The flamingo guitar music was fabulous. Cost $5 per person. Bring your own chairs. Unlike other historical attractions in the area which attempt to tell the story with incomplete collections of artifacts related to the history, the Dangberg family turned over an intact house complete with all belongings, photographs, letters and documents.
