Started 6:40 and was doing great until reaching a snow patch which covered the trail. Followed some girls and it ended up like loose rock climbing which was challenging. Got to the top (I think) and then took a different down which ended up as large rock climbing down until I found the real trail closed to the snow patch....
Be prepared for a difficult hike, but you will be rewarded with wonderful views along the way and sweeping 360 views at the top. I did this hike in September and it was chilly at the top so bring a windbreaker and possibly gloves and hats.
It is not hiking for beginners, but it is definitely worthwhile. It will take you the entire day, as it is like 2-3 hour up and 1,5-2 hours down if you are a good shape.
The view from the lake is amazing, but also along the trail you will enjoy! Go for it, I loved!
The trail is rated from moderate to hard and it can take from six to eight hours for the round trip (9.6 miles).
