I wish I had written this review when this was fresher in my memory. I will just say, I LOVED IT!!!! One of our top campsites that we found on our three week road trip. The ghost town is historically amazing! The campsites are beyond words beautiful. I will say this: I didn't believe in ghosts until this trip when... 更多
Such a cool place to spend an hour or two. Like a snapshot in time for the american west. It's amazing how well preserved everything is and you can still walk through the buildings to see things up close. You basically just walk around and check out the whole town one building at a time. There is a visitor center... 更多
My wife who is not much interested in ghost towns really enjoyed Bannack. She was interested in exploring the houses and the old hotel. We would go back again, but perhaps in the spring when the weather would be warmer.
This town is a ways off the highway but is well worth the drive. Great preserved town. You can go in and look around almost all the buildings. Book at the visitor center is $2 and well worth it to describe what you are seeing. I spent a couple of hours here looking around.

I love ghost towns and try to travel to them whenever I can. Bannack is about 25 minutes outside of Dillon, MT and well worth the short drive. The town itself has been restored and kept up quite nicely. You can go in and explore most of the buildings and for $2 cash donation, you get a very nice printed... 更多
A step back to the Old West....Great for photography and picture taking! You can only imagine what it was like back in the late 1800's! I'll be at the "Bordello"!!!
We visited our daughter who was in Bannock working on a movie production. The old town was set in some of the most beautiful surroundings! The leaves were changing colors and it made it all the more spectacular. A fun day trip out of Dillon, MT.
Bannack State Park is well maintained, the restoration and preservation of the buildings is well done. In addition to the self-guided pamphlet, a state park ranger was available to answer questions. We visited in the off- season on a beautiful Fall day. My six-year old granddaughter enjoyed the day as much as we did. Montana's early history is echoed in... 更多
