We weren't sure what to expect when we stopped her with our three dogs, hoping to stretch our legs and take in a bit of nature. We were pleasantly surprised - this reminded us of several arboretums that we have visited. There are lots of a trails to explore - a mixture of average condition asphalt and just dirt footpaths....
I enjoyed a walk here this afternoon. Lots of people in the area for various reasons & activities! Great to see people out enjoying nature! Some of the trails meander close to the river & some further away! Lovely!
There is a nice trail that follows the river but the views are limited. I took one of the 2(?) loop trails and then there was another trail in the other direction. I couldn't find much detail about the area before I went. There was a visitor center but there was some sort of kids activity going on so I...
We visited Riverfront Park in July 2016 during our visit to Billings. We went for a 30 minute walk around the lake and near the river, but were a bit disappointed that most of the walk was in woods or brush away from the river.
Worth a short stop but not that great.
I've raised my children going there had weddings and even a few services for lost friends.its suitable for any occasion.we frequently go to relax and feed the ducks.many many memories there.not many months go by we don't go.
Now that Billings has grown into a large City the City fathers are finally seeing the wisdom of preserving its wild spaces as park land.Riverfront park is a splendid little example of a place to enjoy some peace and tranquility in nature on the Yellowstone.
A good pace to walk or just relax or photo some birds.
