We found this place by doing a google search to check out what we could do to pass some time before heading to Six Flags. Wow what a great place, we got lots of photos, had a great time and even learned a lot of great things about the birds and animals here.
I've lived in St. Louis my entire life but only recently learned about the World Bird Sanctuary that is located southwest of the city. It is the home and hospital of eagles, pelicans, snowy owls, Polish chickens, and many more species. Visitors can walk past the outdoor enclosures of birds or, on designated days, visit the hospital. Educational programs are... 更多
Amazing BIRD RESCUE CENTER! This center has a lot of education to share with all of us. I saw the most mesmerizing Bald Eagle ever. This bird was so Beautiful. Area has good parking and an easy loop around to drive around the facility. I could visit every week.
The birds are all so beautiful. I adore owls. There were so many beautiful ones to enjoy here. I love that this isn't just a "zoo". These birds would be in the wild if they were capable. I've never seen so many eagles in one place before, they are so majestic. I wouldn't say we are big fans of birds... 更多

A little wandering in Valley Park got us to this place. It was a nice experience to see different species of Eagles, Chicken, Owls etc. There was a small hiking trail as well. It is a good place for both kids and adults.
This is our second time to visit the Sanctuary and this time we took our daughter and grandson, what great fun! The birds are just amazing and the informational displays great. It's a great stop for anyone of any age! Especially with the family. The looks on the little ones faces are indeed priceless!
My father took us here on a recent visit to St. Louis. Great for multi-ages (5-72). Need a car to reach. Tess was a fantastic presenter and storyteller at the bird show. So amazing to see these birds of prey up close and personal as they swoop over your head. All this for free. Trails on the property could use... 更多
