If you thought US Grant was just some drunken butcher, you should visit here and take a look at the man. Much more well rounded than I thought, and pretty forward thinking as well. Some maps will take you wrong way, just circle back around and you will find it. The facility seemed very new but was nice. There is... 更多
When we first visited this site, there was no Visitors Center and supporting buildings. Very impressive arrangement and the Ranger who started as a volunteer when he was 15 is very helpful and most knowledgeable. See the movie and explore the site.
I love NPS sites. The staff is always helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about the topic at hand and usually very happy that tourists stop by. I knew very little about President Grant prior to my visit, but now have a great appreciation for him. We toured the home and several outbuildings with a tremendously knowledgable guide, who was eager to... 更多

Ulysses S. Grant's home is just south of St. Louis. Free ranger-guided tour of the house. It is well preserved but there is really no original furniture or artifacts. The movie was very informative about the life of this president. The ranger was full of facts about this remarkable man. Worth a visit if you're ever in St. Louis area.... 更多
Take a few hours out of your day and go to White Haven. There is a nice museum, a tour of Grant's Missouri home and a short movie on the life of this 5 Star Civil War General and former president. Just down the road you go enjoy Grant's Farm.
This is a fun, free thing to do in St. Louis, not too far from Grant's farm. After a brief introduction and movie, you are allowed to visit Grant's home and out buildings. There is a park ranger that guides you to the house and tells you a little bit about the history of the place and takes questions. After... 更多
I learned so much from the museum and our guide. About the only I knew about U.S. Grant was that he was a general in the Civil War then later President. I know know so much more. Our guide also made me want to learn even more. And all of this for free!! I loved it well worth your time.
This is truly one of the most historically "free" museum tours in the area. It is right across the street form the world famous Gran't Farm. Inside the museum is authentic relics and a walk around the property you will see the actual home of the former President of the U.S.!! Incredibly well worth the time.
