I knew Kiener Plaza was having work done but I didn't realize the scope of it until I saw that the entire park was essentially gone. This is the right approach though as the park was showing its age and certainly paled in comparison to the neighboring Citygarden. The sunken amphitheater has been removed and the entire park will be... 更多
The St. Louis downtown area is in transition and becoming a vibrant and culturally historical experience. Kiener Plaza is at the heart of the city, and Cardinal's baseball, the arch, Old Courthouse and Old Cathedral are all within an easy walk of Kiener Plaza. The area also offers an outdoor sculpture park, several beautiful fountains, and a myriad of quality... 更多
Started our day at the Gateway Arch and followed a Core of Discovery Arts and Architecture tour that included this as a stop. I enjoyed it purely for the sculpture of an Olympic athlete that was commissioned. The selection committee received flack for the design, by I quite enjoyed it, having been a runner in my day. Makes a great... 更多
Great view if the arch and old court house. the park was nice but it was a bit dirty and there were some homeless people bathing in the fountain. some of the strps are in disrepair.
the Plaza was close to our hotel and needed to kill time before the ball game. This was a great place to entertain 2 - 12 year old at no cost. I didn't realize there would be so much water for them to play in or they could of wore swimming trunks. some available shade for parents to sit back... 更多
KIENER PLAZA is a nice spot to sit and relax after visiting the arch and the old courthouse. It's also a great place to take pictures. The sound of the "waterfall" is a plus and you can also put your feet in the water on a hot day if you like.
The view is great. Looking east to the Gateway Arch you won't be disappointed. There were a number of paving stones out of place and a few skaters hanging out that seemed less than impressed with our small group dropping by to check out the plaza. The view is worth dealing with the out of place bricks.
For a free little plaza downtown, this is a good, quick stop, or lingering picnic area. Take all the time you want, or no time at all. My boyfriend and I parked nearby on a weekend to avoid parking fees for the Arch, and wandered toward the Arch. We paused in the plaza and enjoyed getting some silly photos with... 更多
